Halloween Countdown 31 - GILLIGAN'S ISLAND Vampire Clip

Here's the entire vampire dream sequence from my favorite episode of the series, in which Gilligan is bitten by a fruit bat and thinks he's turning into a vampire. This is the episode which Alan Hale Jr., when he hosted an introduction to this one, called the episode "the funniest one they ever did". HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloween Countdown 29 - UNIVERSAL HORROR THEMES

video
Here's a compilation I threw together of the main title music from practically every Universal horror/thriller from Dracula up through The Creature Walks Among Us. Only one Abbott & Costello film (Meet Frankenstein) is represented here, although I might try to include a couple of additional ones eventually. Also includes variations of the Universal fanfare. DVD rips at 192k. Link is in the comment area.

UPDATE NOTE: I finally ripped the theme from The Old Dark House (1932) so it can be included with the others (just insert it in its correct chronological order with the others when burning your disc), as a separate download. Link is also in the comment area.

The main titles music (Bach's "Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor") from the 1931 classic, which won Fredric March an Oscar as Best Actor. 192k DVD rip with J-Stereo enhancement. Link is in the comment area.

Halloween Countdown 27 - THE EYE-POPPING SOUNDS OF H.G. LEWIS

Great must-have compilation of tracks from the films of shlockmeister/gore director H.G. Lewis. 256k CD rip. Link is in the comment area.
Halloween Dividers
ADDITIONAL NOTE: This collection was an expanded reissue of something released by Rhino Records in 1984 titled The Amazing Film Scores of Herschell Gordon Lewis featuring "Blood Feast" and "2000 Maniacs" (below is an image of that album front and back). All of those tracks were included in this collection with two exceptions: from the Blood Feast album side was a track titled "Bonus Track: Herschell Directs: Assorted Screams", and the Two Thousand Maniacs side had a track titled "Bonus Track: Herschell Directs: Assorted Guitar Chords". Neither of those were included here, so I ripped them both from a cassette recording I made years ago off the original vinyl LP, and included them with another track I ripped from the DVD of Two Thousand Maniacs of the finale (which is a bit of instrumental music that cuts to the end credits edit of the theme song). That additional bonus download link is also in the comment area.
Halloween Dividers
FURTHER ADDED NOTE: In listening to this and comparing it to the original Rhino release, I realized that....although this "Eye-Popping" compilation has some additional great H.G. Lewis tracks from his other films....what was done with this compilation is the audio was electronically processed to simulate stereo.....a sort of "faux stereo" as it were. The original recordings, as were the films themselves, were in mono, and when comparing the two releases, I decided/realized this release (with the phony stereo) sounds horrible compared to the original Rhino release in mono. Since I have that release, I decided to go ahead and rip the original version to post here. I attempted to take these "Eye-Popping" tracks and convert them back into their original mono, and it didn't work right....it still sounds horrible. Look here for a new posting of the original Rhino release in mono very soon. The new mono download file will contain the Bonus tracks I already posted in the comment area.

Halloween Countdown 26 - THE RAVEN (1963) promo record

Promotional flexi-record for Roger Corman's THE RAVEN, which was given out in theaters in 1963 (Karloff and Lorre are heard on the record, but Price is not. I believe the third person heard on this is Paul Frees). I may or may not still have larger scans of all the booklet pages to post later on...the record came in a pocket inside the booklet. HORROR RHAPSODY (1980/1998)

FOUND AT LAST! Thanks to a visitor, here it is....but for now I'm only posting Track 20, the "Horror Rhapsody Suite" which contains music from four Universal classics: Son of Frankenstein, Mummy's Hand, Black Friday, and Man-Made Monster. Above the image to the left shows the original 1980 album cover, and the right image is the 1998 CD reissue cover. The CD reissue of 1998 omitted the "Horror Express" music and substituted music from "Maya" in its place. Recorded in 1941, the track length is 24:41. Link is in the comment area (download file contains full booklet and insert scans).

UPDATED: The download file containing the tracks from the MAYA tv series has been uploaded. Link is also in the comment area.
